When I was talking to some of the beta-testers they became nostalgic and started talking about Super Mario Land the 1st game on the nintendo handheld. They liked the level design , every level had a different feel to it. I studied video on the original super mario land and liked they way each level could hav e similar enemies but have its own feel. I remember played the game over and over when I was young never getting bored becuase it was just so much fun.
Some people in forums , twitter , and facebook were asking us when is this remarkable game coming out. Our goal is to have the game out before christmas , nothing better than a fun mario type game out for iphone for the holidays. Its going to be tough trying to get it out so fast but we will do our best to make it happen.
Iphone game fans have been waiting for , a true alternative to super mario bros on iphone/ipod
Remember the good old days of playing Super Mario Land on the go? Well this project started when alot of people requested to have a true Super Mario exp. on thier iphone/ipod. Remember all the brick smashing , coin collecting fun , plus growing double your size and becoming super!! Well its all in this game thats under development plus more.
Follow this blog for up to date info , screenshots , and desicions on what feature we will implement will be posted on this blog. Thank you all for your support on this project.

New fireball Power-up for SMB style game for iphone/ipod
Most beta-testers said the super power-up wasnt enough( makes you larger to smash bricks) . So we decided to thow in another Super Mario favorite power-up the fireball. We figured all Super Mario games have multiple power-ups, why not make more.
As we speak there are more power-ups beta-testers would like to implement to make the game a total Super Mario like exp. The power-up that beta-testers want to implement is Cape Mario where he can fly like in super mario world. We are talking to our staff about it but if we do decide to add that then it would set back this amazing project by a couple days. Keep following us and we will keep you posted!!

The 20 MB limit might not be followed
A lot of desicion's on design and gameplay elements have been made. The game will feature a story mode with regular level and boss levels. The main charactor can grab power-ups to grow big and smash bricks just like Super Mario , plus collect coins.
The coins collected can be used to buy separate mini-games based on popular iphone game titles. Since this game is now packed with tons of content and features a debate came up will we be able to fit under the 20MB limit. As the game progresses it will be very tough to fit that amout of content into 20MB.
After alot of discussion with our design team and beta-testers we decided to work without limits. We will try to fit under the 20MB limit but will not sacrifice any content to do so. It is projected we will be around 25 to 30MB but we are working hard to fit it in 20MB. Thanks for reading and this blog gets updated every other day so follow us and join this journey of development of the future iphone/ipod hit game.

Beta Testers feedback
After completing a couple of levels we had the Beta-testers who signed on get thier 1st crack at the game. I was pleased with the initial response from the Beta testers is that they loved little things, like the fact that you could power-up,grow big, and smash bricks. A couple of them mentioned that with other developers games that where similar to mario , there was no real upgrade or power-up. They felt this game nails the true Super Mario Bros feel on the iphone/ipod.
Then I had asked them about levels length and asked for a tally if they like the shorter levels 1-4 minutes in length or the longer levels 5-10minutes. Most said the shorter levels were better , just make alot of shorter levels was the concensus.
Now the Beta-testers are discussing the level unlock method whether should it be you just beat the stage or should you reach a certain highscore. More info on that subject when the Beta-testers decide. Follow this blog so you can keep posted on any new developments.
